Comment on What Scientology Showed Me About the Gospel by John

Michael,

I don't think I was clear enough in my post, so I've gone back and reworded it. What I am trying to say is that some things Hubbard said are in such contrast to fundamental Christian belief, that they actual shed light on fundamental Christian belief. They do this not because they are the same, but because they are so different.

Being able to save yourself
            CANNOT =
Being saved by grace because you can't save yourself

I actually don't know anything about what Hubbard said about Jesus, or his practices in Satan worship. This is why I wrote, "I don’t know much about Scientology, and so I won’t knock it, or set up straw men that I can easily knock over."

My point in writing the post was not to set up an apologetic against Hubbard or Scientology as a whole, but merely to examine the few words from the interview that I wrote about. What Hubbard said is in such contrast to what a Christian believes about himself and about salvation, that Scientology and Christianity could never go together. I obviously should have made this clearer. I'm not sure what a Co$ mole is.

Here is the information on the interview. I mis-wrote when I originally said it was the only interview. The pamphlet in the DVD cover said it was his "only filmed interview", not the only interview. It was filmed in 1966. It was a DVD rented from the library.

Why don't you give us a link to this supposed interview, John? Hubbard had a lot of choice words for Jesus, and I think you know what they are. You're trying to deceive us John, you're a Co$ mole. Hubbard was a charlatan, and a follower of the British occultist Aleister Crowley. Hubbard practiced Satan worship, and took part in sex rituals.
Here is a link to an MP3 audio file of Hubbard praising Aleister Crowley:

L Ron In His Own Words: Watch and listen to these before $cientology censors them.

I don't know what interview you're talking about but this is only REAL interview that Hubbard ever did:

To Jeremy:
The poem goes along with the Psalm which is the 2nd part of the 3rd track (Resolution). If you attend the St. John Coltrane Church in San Francisco they can teach it to you.
Peace, Love and Perfection throughout all creation... O God
